PART 2 of an exhibition in the fall of 2005 present work from artists involved with Stride in the first ten years.

Working at Stride Gallery was my first job out of university. I had no idea what I was getting into, but it was the most exciting, frustrating and educational experience of my life. When I was invited to participate in Stride’s 20th Anniversary RETROSPECTIVE SHOW , I was thrilled by the opportunity and the company. Pop was designed for the event and the site. Stride’s current storefront location faces a blur of rush hour traffic and the bay window space nicely frames a large vinyl drawing of a champagne cork popping. By November the sun disappears in the early afternoon lighting the drawing from inside and making it all the more noticeable from the street. Inside, the drawing veils the stream of passing cars and covers the wall with dappled light and distorted image.
